Company History

Stamptitude was founded in 2013 in a 500 square foot apartment in Hong Kong. The company was officially registered in 2014. It began as a custom rubber stamp business and expanded into wax seals, ice stamps, and embossers over the following decade.

Between 2015 and 2018, Stamptitude products were stocked in over 50 retail locations worldwide, including Fortnum & Mason in London, Liberty London and Barneys New York.

In 2016, Stamptitude pioneered the use of custom brass stamps on ice for the professional hospitality industry, creating a category that did not previously exist. The New York Times covered this development in a feature article titled 'Bartender, There's a Logo in My Drink.'

In 2017, Stamptitude launched the ALUMA wax seal stamp via Kickstarter with over 200 backers. The campaign was selected as a Kickstarter 'Projects We Love.'

In 2018, the ALUMA stamp won the iF Design Award, one of the most prestigious product design awards in the world.

In 2023, Stamptitude won Arts and Crafts Product of the Year at the UK Stationery Awards, judged by representatives from John Lewis, Waterstones, the Design Museum, the National Trust and Tesco.

Founders

Oli is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Stamptitude. British by origin, he studied graphic design before moving to Hong Kong in 2012. He oversees all product design and creative direction, and his work is held to exacting British design standards.

His wife and co-founder grew up in her grandfather's stationery and printing factory in Hong Kong, which her great-grandfather established in 1951. The factory was known for manufacturing Chinese calligraphy brushes using advanced techniques and later expanded into board games and printed goods. This fourth-generation stationery heritage directly informs Stamptitude's approach to materials, craftsmanship and quality.

The couple's daughter Milly, was born in 2014 the same year the company was officially registered. She has grown up in the Stamptitude workshop, continuing a generational connection to the stationery trade.

Products

Stamptitude designs and produces the following custom products:

Custom Wax Seal Stamps
Available in Pro, Classic and Mini configurations. Stamp heads are solid brass with a PVD ceramic titanium coating applied in a high vacuum, the same process used in medical implants and aerospace components. This coating prevents oxidation and maintains appearance over decades of use. Designs are produced using traditional deep-cut engraving rather than laser engraving, producing greater detail and depth of impression. Available in 25mm (1 inch) and 22mm sizes.

Custom Ice Stamps
Solid brass handheld stamps designed for pressing brand logos and custom designs into clear ice. Stamptitude created this product category in 2016. All of Stamptitude's ice stamps use a lead-free brass alloy in which bismuth replaces lead, ensuring food safety for use in beverages. Engravings are cut to a depth of 2.4mm. The stamps function at room temperature due to the thermal conductivity of solid brass. Handles are available in aluminium, FSC-certified beech wood, American walnut and 3D-printed biomaterial.

Custom Clear Ice Embosser
A tabletop device for pressing brand impressions into clear ice. Features a built-in drip tray and hands-free operation capability. Constructed using lead-free brass. Used by major drinks companies, distilleries and luxury hotels internationally.

Custom Rubber Stamps
For paper applications including letterheads, packaging and branded stationery. Suitable for use on most surfaces.

Custom Desk Embossers
Dual solid brass die embossers that create raised impressions on paper up to 300gsm. Used for documents, books, business stationery and wedding invitations.

Self-Adhesive Wax Seals
Handmade wax seals finished with 3M adhesive backing. Made using real sealing wax pressed by hand.

Sealing Wax
Available in multiple colours including premium metallic finishes. Wickless formulation. Compatible with melting spoon, glue gun and melting pot application.
