To Wick, or not to Wick?

We often get asked why our wax sticks do not have a wick, so here is a visual explanation as to why.

While a wick is undoubtedly more convenient to use it also creates very unsightly charring, which is caused by the soot from the burning of the wick. You can see the difference between the two in the above photo.

The aesthetics are something of a personal preference. Some people prefer the old burnt look, but we here at Stamptitude are all about that clean, perfect look. We just think Wickless looks so much more presentable, which is why we made the conscious decision to only provide Wickless wax.

As for it being a slightly less convenient method, we do have a dedicated Melting Kit which is specifically designed to give you everything you need to get started.
